My Passion

Social work has been my passion for over 14 years.  I enjoy working with teen girls (14-21) and women who want to heal from issues that are commonly present with anxiety and depression such as life transitions and adjustments, self-esteem concerns, trauma attachment, a family of origin, and relationship connections.  I also enjoy working with couples who are seeking premarital counseling to address struggles related to communication, intimacy, trust, and future planning. I have a faith-based background and am open to integrating spiritual principles when requested.

Before going into private practice full-time, I worked in outpatient settings, providing a variety of mental health and social services. I also worked in K-12 school settings providing mental health services and trauma-informed consultation and coaching.

My Beliefs About Therapy

I believe it is important to create a space that welcomes trust and vulnerability. “What do you want out of therapy,” “What are your expectations of me,” are examples of questions I ask to start a collaboration and partnership with clients.  My intent is to empower the client to regain authority over their life and I do that by honoring the client as the expert of their story.

Available Treatment Methods

Through an integrative trauma-informed approach I am able to cultivate a holistic framework that allows me to use treatment practices that meet the needs of the client.

Here are some of the treatment methods I use.
